The GRACE project is implemented in three EU Member States: Greece, Cyprus and Romania, with indirect benefits extending to Germany as an expert partner.

The partnership brings together research institutes, vocational education providers, correctional institutions, public bodies, NGOs and quality assurance experts.

Centre for European Constitutional Law (CECL)

Greece

CECL is one of the most active Greek not-for-profit research institutes. In its more than 30 years of activity, CECL has coordinated and implemented a variety of national, international and EU-funded projects in more than 20 countries worldwide. Key thematic areas of focus include Democracy and the Rule of Law, Fundamental Rights, European and Constitutional institutions, Social rights and the Welfare State

AKMI ANONIMI EKPAIDEFTIKI ETAIRIA (AKMI)

Greece

AKMI is the largest VET provider in Greece, offering education in 9 cities across Greece with 18.000 students and specializing in EQF 3-5. AKMI has extensive experience in managing European Funds and implementing projects based on empowerment, equality, social inclusion, diversity to end GBV in VET by increasing capacity and awareness, engaging in supportive dialogue, and assisting victims in connecting with appropriate support services.

EPANODOS

Greece

EPANODOS is Greece’s official public body for the social reintegration of ex-prisoners, supervised by the Ministry for Citizen Protection. It has expertise in offender rehabilitation, restorative justice, and gender-based violence interventions, having led research on sexual offenders at Tripoli Prison.

Center for Promoting Lifelong Learning (CPIP)

Romania

CPIP is a Romanian NGO working in lifelong learning, with a strong focus on professional development in the justice sector, including correctional, probation, and law enforcement services. Through projects funded by the European Union, CPIP targets professionals working in or with the prisons, as well as people with lived experiences, preparing their way back into local communities through the first steps in adaptation process. Within the European initiatives implemented, CPIP has established partnerships with European organizations specializing in prison environments, and formal and non-formal education systems, collaborating closely with national-level prison institutions to facilitate the seamless implementation of projects activities.

Bucharest-Jilava Penitentiary (PBJB)

Romania

PBJB is a public prison situated near Bucharest. It has in custody over 1000 male inmates, aged over 21 years old, in open and semi-open regime. Its mission is to ensure the safety of the incarcerated people and support them in reintegrating into society.

Cyprus

The Department of Prisons of the Republic of Cyprus is committed to promoting humane incarceration, rehabilitation, and social reintegration of offenders. Operating under the Ministry of Justice and Public Order, it emphasizes respect for human rights, individualized treatment, and prevention of reoffending.

BK-CON is an expert Quality Assurance provider with an active portfolio of project evaluations. BK-CON has broad experience in EU-funded projects at both development and implementation level, with over 30 years of expertise in transnational projects. Union of Women Member’s Associations of Heraklion Prefecture

Greece

The SMGO is a confederation of women’s rights associations operating in Crete. The main objective is to promote cooperation and coordinate action for the advancement of women’s rights. They operate safe houses, an emergency helpline, and work with social services, the police, and other state actors to refer victims of GBV and support their care. The SMGO has implemented several EU funded projects focusing on education and training on GBV, including training for frontliners, victims and perpetrators. Within the GRACE project, the SMGO provides expertise gained from their fieldwork and training activities to further promote the project’s interdisciplinary and practice-oriented approach.
